These photographs are taken in the tradition of documentary photography; following individuals or groups of people (usually on the fringes of society) for long periods of time. In recent years I have photographed in the Los Angeles area. Many of these photographs are environmental portraits of people interacting with each other and their environment. They capture, explore and, question contemporary society and the relationship between individuals and their surroundings.
